NCAA Fooball Odds - No 4 TCU Horned Frogs at Southern Methodist Mustangs - Andy Dalton

If you need your college football betting fix on Friday you only have one option: Texas Christian visiting Southern Methodist Mustangs, with live betting available on Bodog’s NCAA Football odds. The No. 4 TCU Horned Frogs are 18-point favorites in the “Battle for the Iron Skillet.” Separated by only 40 miles, the SMU vs. TCU rivalry dates all the way back to 1915.

Don’t rule out a big upset as SMU can score with Coach June Jones’ high-powered attack. And the Mustangs upset the then-No. 22 Frogs 21-10 at home in 2005; that TCU team finished 11-1 in the regular season that year. Last year the No. 11 Horned Frogs won 39-14 in Fort Worth. Overall, the Horned Frogs have won nine of the last 10 meetings between the schools.

"I'll show the celebration part of the video to all of them and how it looked," TCU coach Gary Patterson said of SMU's victory celebration in '05. "They made a DVD of that win, so I guess it was a big deal."

TCU has looked awfully impressive so far and enters off a 45-10 win over Baylor last Saturday. TCU, which has won 17 consecutive regular-season games, scored touchdowns on its first five drives to build a 35-3 lead before halftime. The Frogs have won nine of their past 10 regular-season games by at least 27 points. Running Ed Wesley ranks 10th in the nation in rushing with 384 yards on 8.2 yards per carry, while QB Andy Dalton has completed 74.6 percent of his throws for 624 yards and four touchdowns.

SMU has rebounded from a season-opening loss at Texas Tech by beating both UAB and Washington State pretty handily. Sophomore quarterback Kyle Padron has already thrown eight TDs, and three different Mustangs receivers have at least 11 catches and two TDs. But TCU is allowing only 135 yards passing a game and as usual is among the top-ranked overall defenses.

SMU has won five straight home games, while TCU is the highest-ranked team ever to visit Ford Stadium and the highest-ranked team the Mustangs have faced since No. 1 Notre Dame in 1989.
